My "Liebster Award" nomination

Wow what an honor to be nominated for the "Liebster Award" This is something I didn't expect, especially how I just started. It's good to know that there are people who are interested in my stories. I was nominated by It's Life oclock , a lady who writes about Travel and Food. Thank you very much for the nomination.

What is the "Liebster Award"?

The "Liebster Award" has been created to recognize and / or discover new bloggers and to welcome them in the bloggers world. The award only exists on the internet and is provided by Bloggers to Bloggers. In my eyes, an ideal way to support each other.

The Rules:

If you have been nominated for the "Liebster Award" and have chosen to accept it, write a Blog post about this award and:

Thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to them on your blog.

Display the award on your blog — by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”.

(Note that the best way to do this is to save the image to your own computer and then upload it to your blog post.)

Answer the questions about yourself, which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.

Provide random facts about yourself.

Nominate blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have a less than 1000 followers.

Create a new list of questions for the nominees to answer.

List these rules in your post.

Inform the people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster award and provide a link for them to your post so that they can learn about it (they might not have heard of it!)

My part:

Part of being nominated is to answer 10 question provided by the person that nominated you. These questions are ment to show who is behind the blog you are writing. I gladly answered these questions, even though there were 1 or 2 questions that made me actually think about it for a moment.

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging because I've gotten many questions from my friends and family about my life in Nigeria and so I thought 'Let's write a blog about it'

What's the most beautiful place you have visited so far? And why?

Barcelona – I fell in love with their architecture.

Given the choice of anyone in the world – whom would you want as a dinner guest?

Barack Obama

Who inspires you?

It may sound like a cliché but my mother inspires me. This because she never gives up no matter what!

Which advice would you give to a new blogger?

When you're new start with investing real time in writing and especially promoting your blog. Oh and of course don't get discouraged.

Which souvenir you bring from every vacation?

I'm not really the souvenir kind of girl, but if I see a nice figurine I'll definitely take it home with me.

If you could be another person for one day – Who would it be? And why?

Well, I thought about this question for a while and to be honest, I can't think of anyone. I like being me and I love my life, so I choose me!

What is your biggest wish for your future?

I don't ask for much in life, I just want to be a Mother and simply to be happy.

What was the first topic you were writing about?

I guess that all my blog posts have the same topic and that's my life in Nigeria.

If you could be anywhere in the world right now – Where would it be?

Jamaica - I am a big Reggae fan and so I always wanted to travel there.

Another part is to name 10 random facts about myself. This was hard for me, cause I never really know what to tell about myself.

I'm a born British citizen, but I grew up in Germany and in my teenager years we moved to Holland.

I'm just over 30

I have no children (yet)

I love cats and dogs

my favorite animal though is the tiger

my favorite color is blue

My greatest addictions are chocolate and coca cola

my whole life I'm trying to gain weight without any success

I am very very stubborn

I polish and decorate my nails whenever I need a Me-moment.

My Nominees:

Nominating someone sounds really easy until you actually have to do it. There are so many blogs that finding the right one can make you crazy. I decided to choose Blogs that are different than others, with different topics. Topics you don't find everyday.

So here they are:

Practically perfect Meg

Meg is, as she says herself, obsessed with Disneyland. She goes there almost every week and that makes her the best critic and the best information point there is. Alongside her Disneyland obsession she also writes about other topics like running, make up and she provides some everyday tips

Maria's Travelogue of Swedish Museums

Maria wants to visit all museums in Sweden and share her experience of it with anyone who is interested. She also includes amazing foto's and a personal twist to her blog posts which makes it easy but interesting reading.

The immature writers

This blog is full of feelings and the perfect words to describe it are the words used by the writer himself: “the page where the heart is poured out and the feelings are transformed into the words.”

Abigails Anxieties

Abigail is a young woman with severe anxiety disorder and a mild depression. She writes about her daily struggles and how she manages life. It takes a lot of courage to write a blog like this and I think there are others out here that can relate to her stories.

College Study Smarts

I am not sure if this blog is written by a man or a woman but that doesn't really matter anyway. What matters is that you can find study tips on this blog like how to spend less time studying while earning better grades.

My questions for the nominees:

if you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Looking back at you life, what's your most happy memory?

Who is your idol and why?

Which quote / proverb describes you best?

Have you started your blog out of passion or professional reasons?

Of all the people in the world, whom would you like to have dinner with and why?

What is the purpose behind your blog?

What song really gets to you?

If you would get a writers block, what would you to for inspiration?

Whats your favorite animal and why?

Well, I hope all of you have as much fun answering these questions as I had and at lat let me wish you all, good luck with your blog!
